A CLIMATE change talk on the planet being in an “ecological crisis” is taking place in Manningtree.
Extinction Rebellion Colchester will be sharing the latest climate science on where the planet is heading, discussing climate change, and offering solutions through the study of social movements.
The group is a growing network of activists and campaigners who are involved in non-violent direct action.
An Extinction Rebellion Colchester spokesman said: “The planet is in ecological crisis, we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event this planet has experienced.
“Scientists believe we have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown.
“This is an unprecedented global emergency.”
The talk is being held on Thursday, September 12 at the Methodist Church, in South Street.
It starts at 7.30pm.
