A BEAUTY salon has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The Beauty Empire, in Manningtree, has become a finalist for a National Beauty Federation Business Award for the category Best Salon Design.

The salon, in High Street, opened in November last year.

It is owned and run by Chloé Jones and her four staff members.

The 27-year-old said: "The salon was designed by myself, but I couldn't have got it done without the help from my mum and my grandad.

"My main feature in the salon is the flower wall, created and fitted by local company County Flower Walls."

The salon provides a wide range of beauty treatments, from waxing to fat dissolving injections.

The salon went up again stiff competition from hair and beauty businesses across the country to be nominated for the award.

The winner of each category in the awards will be announced at a glitzy awards evening at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, in London, on November 17.

During the awards ceremony the worthy winners of the Business Awards will be revealed before a live DJ helps nominees and guests celebrate everyone’s success.
