HUNDREDS of people braved the weather to turn out for a living history event at the weekend.
Stow Maries Aerodrome hosted its annual Stow at War day – an event dedicated to the First World War.
It featured top-level historians, an art exhibition and a stunning air display.
A number of living history displays and talks took place, with appearances from the 10th Essex Infantry Regiment, the Royal Navy Bluejackets, Great War Society RFC and the GWS Warwickshire Regiment display. Aerodrome boss Ian Flint said: “Stow at War is always an emotional event for us.
“It is a chance for us to work with the very best living historians and aviation teams in the UK to bring the site to life in a very particular way.
“This year, undaunted by the weather, the team pulled out all the stops.
“The air activity was outstanding – truly world-class – and the quality and integrity of the historians was unparalleled.
“We’re very happy indeed.”
