FRINTON looks set to scoop yet another gold award at the annual Anglia in Bloom competition after judges were wowed by the town’s floral displays.

Judges from Anglia in Bloom were taken on a five-mile tour of the town’s floral displays and blossoming gardens.

The tour encompassed 14 stops, including the Triangle shopping centre, Railway Cottage Gardens and recently-opened Spinney.

Frinton has been crowned Anglia in Bloom’s best small town eight times in the past ten years and has won nine out of a possible 11 gold awards.

David Foster, chairman of Frinton in Bloom, said: “We always try to achieve the gold standard. I anticipate this will be another golden year for Frinton.

“We put out jewel in the crown down for best floral display at the Crescent Gardens.

“The judges were at the primary school and were enthralled by their work ethic.

“Last year we got a gold award and when we spoke to the judges they said we have done even better.”
