THESPIANS are presenting their latest dramatic production to audiences in Brantham.

Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society is staging Ray Cooney’s Out of Order at the village hall for three nights.

Raymond George Alfred Cooney, born in 1932, is an English playwright and actor.

His biggest success was Run for Your Wife which ran for nine years in London’s West End.

Out of Order was first produced in 1990 and remains a firm favourite with audiences to this day.

The play has been staged internationally in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

The production follows the story of Government minister Richard Willey who plans to spend the evening with Jane Worthington.

She is one of the opposition’s secretaries - and things go disastrously wrong.

The action takes place in a suite in a posh London hotel and revolves around accidents caused by a defective sash window.

Audiences will meet many characters who will add to the mayhem.

This is an adult play and therefore unsuitable for children.

Tickets are on sale until Sunday, June 30 from Bakes and Blossoms, Acacia Court, for £8 per person.

They can also be bought on ticketsource.co.uk or batsonline.co.uk until July 6.

Remaining tickets will be for sale on the door.

The show is running on Thursday, July 4, Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 at 7.30pm.

Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society can loosely trace its history to 1972 when a drama sub-committee staged its first production.

They became Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society in 1982.
