Zookeepers are celebrating after welcoming three new arrivals at the lemur enclosure.

Ring-tailed lemur Andro gave birth to a little boy earlier this year at Colchester Zoo.

A spokesman for the zoo said: "Both mum and baby are doing extremely well.

"The youngster has already begun to explore the enclosure and is spending more time on mum’s back."

He was followed by twins born to Alina last month.

The spokesman added: "We are yet to confirm the sex of these new arrivals, as mum is keeping them very close to her.

This is Alina’s fourth baby with our male, Anakin, and second set of twins, so she is used to having her arms full."
