AN INTERESTING talk on plastic pollution was presented to primary school pupils.
Altantic rower Dawn Wood paid a visit to Purleigh Primary school as part of her tour to raise awareness on the dangers of plastic pollution.
Teacher Wendy Woods said: “Staff and children at Purleigh Primary School were delighted to welcome Dawn Wood to the school just before half term and to find out about her amazing solo row across the Atlantic.
“Dawn has used her recent achievement to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the oceans.
“She presented an assembly to the whole school and then continued with workshops for Key Stage Two classes.
“The children were fascinated to hear about her adventure and are keen to spread the word about playing our part in protecting the world’s oceans.”
