LOVING senior care assistant Claire Hooton has a Heart of Gold.
The Alderwood Care Home worker was presented with a sparkly Tiffany necklace to mark her success by Carebase chairman Alnur Dhanani, and the company’s managing director Nicola Coveney.
She received the Heart of Gold award during a ceremony at the Colchester residential home having been an employee for just a year.
The awards seek to recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents.
Claire said: “I’m totally overwhelmed to have won this award.
“I just love my job and caring for our residents. It brings me joy every day.
“The team here are so supportive - we’re one big family."
Altogether there were 68 nominees for the Heart of Gold award recommended by residents and their relatives, co-workers, social workers and health professionals.
