The Brexit Party amassed thousands of votes in the EU elections.
The party gathered 5,000 votes more than the closest party across Maldon, similar to across the eastern region.
A total of 1,603,017 votes were cast in this year's elections.
In Maldon, there was a 37 per cent turnout, with a total of 17,905 votes cast.
A further 137 papers were spoiled.
