DETECTIVES investigating the murder of a man in Colchester are asking the public to send any footage of drug dealing activity in the area.

Murdoch Brown was found dead in Greenstead on Tuesday, May 7.

"We believe Mr Brown's death could potentially be linked to the sale of drugs" said Senior Investigating Officer DCI Daniel Stoten.

"We would like anyone who has either photographed or filmed drug dealing activity in the area to get in contact with us.

"We hope that these images could help us identify those responsible for Murdoch's death."

Detectives are still looking to identify two people who were believed to have been seen running from Buffett Way on May 7, shortly after 1am.

One man was described as being white and aged in his early 20s, whilst the other person was described as being black and aged around 17.

"We are also still keen to speak to anyone who has CCTV, or a vehicle with a dashcam that was either parked in, or driving in, the Greenstead area between 10pm on May 6 and 2am on May 7" added DCI Stoten.
