A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual grooming after so-called paedophile hunters streamed a live video of a sting.

Essex Police has confirmed a 62-year-old man from Braintree was arrested in Shooters Way in the early hours of this morning, April 25.

A spokesman said: "He remains in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of sexual grooming and possession of cannabis.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

The arrest was made shortly after paedophile hunters approached a man in Braintree overnight in a sting which was posted live on Facebook by Justice for the Innocent.

The 50-minute video has already been viewed more than 22,000 times and has nearly 650 shares.

Two men can be heard in the video speaking to an elderly man.
