Five Guys will open its new Braintree restaurant today.

The American burger chain will be welcoming customers to its new branch at Freeport from 11am.

The eatery has seating for up to 48 people, and a further 32 seats in an external terrace area.

Doors will open from 11am each day and customers will get a wide variety of choice of grub, with anything from breakfast to milkshakes on offer.

A spokesman said: "Five Guys prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, and customers can find out which local farm the beef and potatoes have come from by checking out the restaurant’s notice board.

"This results in delicious burgers and fries of the highest quality, burgers are grilled to order, whilst the fries are hand cut every morning and cooked in peanut oil to create a mouth-watering taste.

"Using the locally sourced ingredients there are 250,000 possible combinations to order your burger at Five Guys as well as over 1,000 possible ways to customise your milkshake."

Five Guys now has more than 85 restaurants in the UK and its flagship store in Covent Garden outsells the American equivalent in New York by two to one.
