ARTISTS and crafters from the Colchester area came together to sell their wares at a bazaar.

The event, organised by Gemma Golland, was held at Firstsite in Lewis Gardens, Colchester.

The monthly market encourages designers, artists, hackers, menders, craft people and artisans alike to come together and show off their creative talents.

There was also an array of homemade food available.

Gemma said: “It went really well, I was really happy.

“The atmosphere was warm and inviting and all of the 11 stall holders profited.

“I still think it’s going to grow bigger and I have had a lot of support. I have only just started organising it but have been a customer for the whole four years it’s been running.

“I just love the idea of supporting local businesses and my home is now filled with people’s arts and crafts.

“I would like other people to experience that.”

The event can have up to 20 stall holders, and next month is looking like it will be a full house.

There was also a couple of community tables showcasing Colchester-based community groups, and an artist showing children how to create comics.
