THERE are delays on train lines through north Essex at the moment due to a late running freight train.
Greater Anglia said Colchester and Manningtree lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until further notice.
Greater Anglia said: "Due to a problem with a freight train between Manningtree and Ipswich, services departing Colchester heading towards Ipswich and Norwich and services departing Ipswich and Norwich going towards Colchester are being disrupted.
"The fault on the train is currently being investigated by the driver, so services are being delayed until we have been advised it is safe to run our services."
The 3.52pm Ipswich to London Liverpool Street is due at 5.16pm.
The 5.38pm London Liverpool Street to Ipswich is due at 6.59pm.
