A VANDAL has been on a rampage causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to cars.
Police are investigating six reports that cars have either had their tyres slashed, paint scratched or paint thrown over them in Colchester.
The latest report received was on Wednesday, November 14, where thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to a car parked in Calvary Road between 9.15am and 4.30pm.
A police spokesman said: "There have been at least five other vehicles damaged in Calvary Road, Lancer Street and Garland Road since Tuesday, October 16.
"We have been carrying out CCTV and house to house enquiries in the area and are appealing for information."
Anyone who has information or noticed anyone acting suspiciously is asked to call Colchester police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
