A SERVICE supporting vulnerable young people is hosting its first festive-themed fundraiser.

Colchester and Tendring Youth Enquiry Service has seen a drastic reduction in statutory funding, and as a result staff are turning to the community of Colchester.

Today and tomorrow they will have a stall at the Trinity Street Traders Market offering baked goods, Christmas decorations and some treats.

Their main office is at 9 Trinity Street, Colchester.

YES Chief Executive, Jane Blomeley, said: "We are a grass-roots charity that has been established in Colchester for the last 30 years dedicated to helping young people and have had support from local Councils, Businesses and many individuals keeping us going over the years.

"But demand for our service is increasing while funding is declining. Please support us in whatever way you can."

The service has a 1,000 piece puzzle which staff will eventually have framed - with the names of everyone who supports them through this campaign.

The suggested donation per piece would be £5, and this can be done through the justgiving page justgiving.com/colchesteryes.
