Youngsters can get themselves ready for Christmas by spending a festive day with their favourite steam engine.

Thomas and his friends will be venturing to the East Anglian Railway Museum in December, bringing all their mischief and fun with them.

Visitors will get the chance to take a ride with Thomas, Daisy, Percy or Toad during their day, and their will also be the chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt.

Sweepers Rusty and Dusty will be scattered about, no doubt getting up to some form of mischief, and in the spirit of the season, Santa himself will be welcoming people into his grotto.

Anyone looking to get hands on will get the chance to complete their passport to adventures and junior engineer certificate.

Re-enactments of classic Thomas tales will be taking place, and the imagination station will offer some respite from the cold.

The station will be offering loads of festive fun, with Thomas-themed crafts and games available.

Thomas will be coming to the museum on Sunday, December 9, and returning on the following two weekends. Gates will open from 10am each day and trains will be running to and from the museum as usual.

Tickets cost £14 for adults and £10 children, though concessions are available. Those visiting Santa’s grotto will need to pay an extra £5 and book in advance.
