An elderly man had to be cut out of his car after a crash trapped him inside the vehicle.
Firefighters from Burnham and South Woodham Ferrers attended the incident in Burnham Road, Southminster on Wednesday November 14 at around 3.30pm.
A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue, said: "Firefighters assisted at the scene of a road traffic collision.
"On arrival, crews advised that an elderly man in his eighties was trapped in his vehicle.
"No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
"Firefighters released the man by 4.36pm before leaving him in the care of the Ambulance Service."
Bus routes also had to be cancelled surrounding the road throughout the afternoon.
Essex Police confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident and no arrests were made.
