Essex Police has echoed calls for the public to report dangerous behaviour taking place in Halstead.
The force is investigating the alleged misuse of fireworks which took place at the Courtauld Sports Ground in Colchester Road.
A spokesman said: "We received reports that people were using fireworks in an anti-social way in a car park over the weekend.
"We want to see everybody enjoy themselves during the Halloween period in a safe and respectful fashion.
"However, anti-social or dangerous behaviour involving fireworks can not only cause alarm and distress to people and animals but can also be a danger to public safety.
"We would urge people to report any information to Essex Police."
