A vehicle break down and “unforeseen circumstances” meant some residents missed out on garden and glass collections.
Some homes in Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Tolleshunt Knights and Tollesunt Major did not have their garden waste collected due to a broken down vehicle.
A message on Maldon District Council’s website said: “Due to a vehicle breakdown unfortunately some garden waste collections will not be made today.
“If your green bin is not emptied by 5pm today please re-present it by 7am on Monday 22 October.
“The areas affected are Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D'arcy, Tolleshunt Knights & Tolleshunt Major.
“If you live in any other area and your garden waste has not been collected today please report it by using our online lookup. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Due to unforeseen circumstances some homes also missed out glass collections.
The message added: “Due to unforeseen circumstances some properties that are serviced by our small recycling vehicle will not receive a glass collection today.
“If your box has not been collected by 5pm please re-present it by 7am on Monday 22 October and it will be emptied early next week.
“Glass collections made by our standard vehicles remain unaffected.”
We apologise for the inconvenience, but unfortunately there is service disruption to garden waste collections in Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Tolleshunt Knights and Tolleshunt Major. Some glass collections also affected.
