A CRASH victim was trapped in their car for more than an hour before being released by firefighters.
Emergency services were called to the four-vehicle accident at Bulmer Tye, near the Essex-Suffolk border, at 5.14pm yesterday.
Two fire crews from Halstead and one from Sudbury went to the scene.
An Essex Fire spokesman said: "On arrival firefighters reported that four vehicles were involved and one person was trapped.
"Firefighters released the casualty by 6.25pm and left them in the care of the ambulance service."
The extent of their injuries is not known.
