TWO men have been arrested after a man suffered life-threatening injuries when hit by a car in Maldon.
A black BMW collided with a man in his 60s on High Street at around 2pm this afternoon.
The driver failed to stop following the collision but the car was quickly located by officers.
The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "A 28-year-old man from Maldon has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.
"A second man has also been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.
"Both remain in police custody for questioning.
"We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed or has dash cam footage of the incident."
