A TEENAGER has admitted stabbing a man twice during a brutal attack.
Alinjavwa Siwale travelled from his Colchester home to Braintree and stabbed a man twice.
The 18-year-old, of Affleck Road, admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday.
The offence took place on April 9 last year when Siwale was aged 17. He also denied one count of attempted robbery on the same date which the Crown Prosecution Service will not be pursuing.
Causing grievous bodily harm with intent, when committed by an adult, can carry a maximum life sentence.
Siwale had been on bail but Judge Charles Gratwicke yesterday remanded him into custody for reports to be prepared.
He told him: “You pleaded guilty to a serious offence. Quite clearly I would be failing in my duty if I did not remand you into custody.”
Sentencing is due to take place soon after May 9.
