A BOXING club has celebrated a £66,000 facelift with a grand reopening attended by 130 people.
Everything inside Halstead Boxing Club, in Factory Lane West, Halstead, was upgraded after it received a grant from Sport England.
It was reopened on Saturday.
Chairman and coach Chris Hague said: “It went really well.
“We had a good turnout that was much higher than we expected and the event seemed to be well received.
“There was a mix of members and their friends and families and some new members as well.
“The work at the club has really taken us to the next level and we nowhave people coming from all over to train here.”
The club, formed in 1947, teaches Muay Thai and boxing.
