Tiptree jam is set to move into new premises in Earls Colne as its business continues to go from strength to strength.

Demand for the jam, produced by Wilkin and Sons, is so high staff have started working round the clock to produce it.

Despite national economic gloom, the company’s sale of jams, marmalades and honey is up about 20 per cent this year.

And demand is so high that Tiptree miniatures, served in hotels around the world, are now being produced 24 hours a day.

In the long-term, Wilkin and Sons want to relocate to a new base close to their current site in Factory Hill, Tiptree.

But with the business expanding fast, they will start storing products at a 50,000 sq qt site at Earls Colne Business Park later this month.
