Young fundraisers were supported by an ex-Arsenal goalie when they staged a 24-hour football marathon.
Gosfield School pupils held the event in aid of the Willow Foundation which provides special days out for seriously ill 16-40 year olds.
Legendary football player Bob Wilson, who co-founded the charity, made an appearance alongside England hockey player Chloe Rogers.
They were joined by Halstead mayor David Hume for the kick off at 2pm on January 22.
