A long-established family business, which has gone into administration, has managed to save at least 150 jobs.
Milbank Industries Ltd, Milbank Floors Ltd and Milbank Designs Ltd based at the Earls Colne Business Park went into administration on Friday.
The news follows 99 redundancies which were made at Milbank Floors Ltd in August after a downturn in the building industry.
Sean Milbank, managing director of the Millbank companies, said: “The group of Milbank companies included Milbank Industries, Milbank Floors and Milbank Designs.
“The good news is we have been able to save jobs at Earls Colne."
However there have been job losses at the branch of Milbank Floors in Brandon, Suffolk.
Jenny Parry, Milbank Roofs spokesman, said Milbank Roofs Ltd is trading as a new company under the name Milbank, based in Earls Colne.
She said Milbank had bought a certain amount of the business and assets from Milbank Designs and Milbank Floors through the administrators and had also been able to offer roles to some of the workers from Milbank Industries.
