AN estate agents in Halstead will donate more than 100 Christmas gifts to children in care as part of a community toy drive.

Premier Travel Halstead, in High Street, decided to pool their resources and donated the toys and gifts.

Branch manager, Kirsty Doye has worked at the site for more than three years, and has helped organise the charity toy collection for numerous Christmases.

The 38-year-old said: "The idea came from wanting to give something meaningful back to the local community, particularly to children in care.

"Christmas can be a challenging time for many families and we wanted to help make it a little brighter for children who need it most.

"This year we were absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity shown, we have had over 100 toys and gifts donated by our customers and local community.

"Just incredible."

The toys will be distributed through local children's services and charities, who will ensure they reach children in care across Essex and the East Anglia area.

The gifts will be delivered directly so they can be given out in time for Christmas.

Kirsty added: "I love working for Premier Travel, it's amazing to be a part of the Premier Family.

"It means so much to all of us - knowing that a simple gift can bring happiness, comfort, and a sense of being remembered at Christmas is incredibly special.

"The whole team gets behind it, and it’s something we’re genuinely proud to be part of.

"I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated or supported the toy collection.

"The kindness and generosity from our customers and community has been amazing, and we couldn’t do this without them.

"A very special thank you to a group of local builders who have supported this appeal every single year.

"They kindly organise donations between themselves and continue to give in honour of Jim Barrow, naming their contributions Jim’s Gifts.

"Their ongoing generosity and thoughtfulness mean so much to us and play a huge part in making this appeal so special - Merry Christmas everyone."
