A MAN is due to appear at court after failing to stop for police and colliding with a pedestrian on a bike.
24-year-old Charlie Huntwragg of Wells Crescent, Chelmsford has been charged after a woman was injured following a collision with a bike.
An officer in a marker police car had seen Huntwragg leave a shop in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford at around 6.25pm yesterday and acting suspiciously around a bike before riding off on it.
The police officer directed Huntwragg to stop but he failed to do so.
He then collided with a pedestrian who was left with an injury to her head, and was promptly arrested.
Huntwragg has now been charged with dangerous cycling, possession of a Class A drug, and assault by beating.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, September 2.
