EARLS Colne based activity camp, MultiCoach, has announced that summer 2024 marks their most successful camp to date.
As a primary school teacher of six years, MultiCoach founder, Tom Littlewood, decided to launch the camp in 2022 after seeing increasing levels of inactivity amongst children.
He said: “They were socialising less, spending more time indoors and they were definitely more glued to their screens,
“MultiCoach was launched with one mission in mind – to get children active."
MultiCoach offers ‘fun’ and ‘affordable’ holiday camps, parties and a range of clubs.
The children take part in over 40 activities, including Nerf, dodgeball, First Aid, slime making, inflatables, tennis and football – receiving ‘overwhelmingly positive’ feedback from parents.
Over the summer, the camp ran across three venues, including their busiest day seeing 72 children actively partaking.
The camp works closely with Active Essex, to provide spaces for children on free-school meals – allowing 25 children per day to access the club and receive a hot meal from the on-site Café at Earls Colne Recreation Club.
MultiCoach launched a brand-new ‘Mini Coach’ scheme, engaging 12 to 15-year-olds, with an interest in coaching, shadowing lead coaches and delivering mini sessions to younger children.
During term time, MultiCoach also offers basketball and tennis sessions at their Earls Colne location for children aged five and above.
The camp staff have ‘really enjoyed’ seeing the children’s confidence grow, and creating a place for them to make fond, summer memories.
