A DANCE and fitness group has raised more than £2,000 for a children’s charity.

FUNFITFAB, who meet up weekly in Gestingthorpe, organised two action-packed dance shows last week.

The group invited family and friends to their performances which aimed to raise money for Tiny Tickers, a children’s heart charity, as part of their Heart Week fundraising event.

Organiser Nic Smith’s grandson Jaxon was born with a complicated health condition two years ago.

A spokesman said Jaxon and his family had received “wonderful” care and support from the charity.

They performed a variety of dances, including the Charleston and a Bollywood number.

Altogether, they raised £2,187.

A spokesman said: “Nic and the crew would like to thank all who have contributed to this event, making it such a huge success, by donating to the charity, attending, or making cakes and helping out behind the scenes.”
