BOSSES have thanked residents for their help with a charity campaign to keep people warm this winter.
Halstead Rotary Club joined forces with the team at the Co-op store in Weavers’ Court in November to collect used winter coats.
The campaign has been hailed a huge success.
More than 230 coats were donated, which have now been sorted into men’s, women’s and children’s.
The coats are being distributed to charities in the area, with campaign bosses thanking everyone who donated.
Co-op manager Mike Clark said: "This is one of the best campaigns we have been part of - the public have been so generous with their donations.
"The team has been so pleased too when our customers come to the store and hand over their coats."
Halstead Rotarian Paul Sati added: "We are so pleased with the public’s response to the campaign. All the coats will be given to those in need.
"A special thank you to Mike and his team at the Co-op for their support."
