A TOWN mum is purring with delight as her brand new cat café is open for business at last.
Rebecca White, from Halstead, opened the business after weeks of work last weekend.
The café, which replaced the old Les Fleurs building at the top of the High Street, has been met with plenty of excitement.
Rebecca said: “It feels amazing to finally be open, after all the setbacks I honestly started to doubt if we could do it but I’m so happy that we have.
“I worked 50 hours without any sleep in between to get everything ready last week.
“The first few days have been amazing, we were fully booked over the weekend and had lots of people walking past taking an interest, we’ve also had loads of adoption forms already filled out for some of the cats and kittens.
“The majority of customers weren’t even coming in with the intent to apply for adoption but fell in love with the cats.”
The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive so far, with Rebecca saying she has some exciting things coming up.
She said: “The feedback so far has been amazing, we had a couple of issues like our front door handle snapping off leaving our staff not able to get in, issues with our suppliers, but all our customers have been patient and amazing with us.
“I am loving all the pictures and feedback they are tagging us in too.
“I’m now working on doing some toddler craft sessions, cat yoga and some adult craft sessions in the evening.
“I am also having an area made where we can help advertise local businesses.”
