RESIDENTS in the Hedinghams and surrounding areas are facing a large power cut, which is expected to conntinue for the next few hours.
According to UK Power Networks, customers across Sible and Castle Hedingham as well as surrounding areas such as Highstreet Green and Audley End.
There are eight postcodes affected, which are: CO9 3, IP28 6, IP28 8, IP29 0, IP29 4, IP29 5, IP31 3 and IP33 3.
A spokesman said: "We're investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which has caused a power cut in the local area.
"We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing you.
"We estimate your power will be back on between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
"We may be able to get some customers on sooner.
"The information on our website is live and up-to-date.
"This is the same information that our call advisors give customers over the phone.
"Please only call us if you're in a dangerous situation or notice any damage to our equipment."
