A YOUNG pup who loves a run around is looking for his forever home.

The Danaher Animal Shelter in Wethersfield is looking for a home for one-year-old lurcher Clyde.

A spokesman said: "Clyde came into our care through no fault of his own and it didn't take long for the staff to get to know him and form bonds.

"Clyde is a very friendly dog with people and he loves everybody he meets.

"He has had some interactions with children, and because of his friendly and affectionate nature we feel he could live with older children.

"His favourite thing to do is run around off a lead in enclosed fields, especially with his doggy pals.

"Clyde loves dogs and really benefits from another dogs' company, which is why we think it would be perfect if Clyde could live with a suitably matched doggy friend.

"He is friendly and playful with unfamiliar dogs but Clyde will need some training on the lead around other dogs when he gets over-excited.

"He's briefly been in a home before but new adopters will need to give him time and patience to settle in and put some basic training and boundaries in place around his new home.

"He would loves his own secure garden which he can explore but will need 6ft fences at least.

"We are looking for adopters with sighthound experience to ensure they can meet Clyde's every need.

"Some experience in owning rescue dogs is preferred but not essential as long as you have some experience in training."
