FILM-LOVERS have plenty to look forward to in the coming week as the Halstead Empire Theatre prepares numerous screenings.

First up is the theatre’s second showing of Jurassic World Dominion.

The 12-rated flick comes to the Empire on Friday, October 14, at 7.45pm.

It sees a group of people who must save the planet from an ecological disaster, not to mention all the dinosaurs.

It stars Sam Neil, Chris Pratt and Laura Dern, and all seats are £7.50.

Next up on Saturday, October 15, is children's film Encanto.

This is a sing-a-long version of the U-rated film and tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live in the mountains of Columbia.

The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a gift from super strength to the power of healing over every child except one - Mirabel.

Doors open at 10.30am for 11am and all seats cost £3.

Lastly is a second screening of Elvis for the Wednesday matinee on October 19.

Rated 12, it follows the story of the rock’n’roll star Elvis Presley as seen through the eyes of controversial manager Colonel Tom Parker.

It stars Tom Hanks and Austin Butler and starts at 2.30pm. Admission is £7.50.
