THE death of a man is not being treated as suspicious amid an investigation by police.
Officers had received reported on Monday over concerns for the safety of man who was sat on a high wall.
The wall crosses a busy road at Ehringshausen Way in Haverhill.
Police attended and spoke to the individual who then departed the scene.
Later the same day, at 9.30pm, police received a call from ambulance services to say a man in his late 40s had sustained serious injuries after falling from a high bridge in the Hamlet Road area.
He died shortly after.
Suffolk Police say they aren’t treating the death as suspicious, and a spokesman added: “Police attended and a cordon was put in place.
“The male, confirmed as the same person involved in the first incident, was pronounced dead a short while later.
“Police are keen for any witnesses to either incident to come forward to assist the investigation.
“They should contact West Suffolk CID, quoting crime reference 37/34895/22”
