POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a hate crime incident which is reported to be arson.
Emergency services were alerted after a black wheelie bin was set alight in the car park of a mosque on Camps Road, Haverhill.
The incident took place on Tuesday, May 17 and it was reported to police just after 4am.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “Police are treating this as a hate crime.
“No one was injured or hurt during the incident.
“Anyone who witnessed or knows who is responsible for the incident should contact Haverhill police quoting crime ref 37/29904/22.”
