AN ambitious musician is hoping his latest song will be a hit after teaming up with a Britain’s Got Talent hopeful.

Ben Wood, from Braintree, is set to release his latest track next month on June 10.

The 17-year-old partnered up with Sible Hedingham musician Honey Scott to produce their first collaboration with the song Someone Instead.

It comes after Honey has seen her popularity rise after a stunning performance on Britain’s Got Talent which saw her get four yeses from the impressed judges.

Ben, who is a DJ and producer, spearheaded the song with Honey providing vocals.

The pair met at the Colchester Institute, where they both study music.

Now Ben says he hopes his new song will be a big hit.

He said: “In 2021 I was selected to appear on BBC Radio Essex for up-and-coming musicians with my song Back to You and have now been promoted by record labels Ice.Records, who are looking into signing some of my songs, and OrganVibesUK.

“Honey has always been a fan of my music and has been supportive through my career in music so far.

“I first heard Honey sing at a performance in college and I knew instantly I needed her to sing on one of my tracks, so I approached her with the idea.

“We chucked some ideas about and Honey laid down the vocals.

“I then put the two together, produced, mixed, and mastered the track and we have a huge summer banger.

“I'm through the roof excited for this one, I hope you all enjoy it.

“Honey and I are looking forward to doing some more work together.
“My whole family sat down to watch Honey on stage for Britains Got Talent, her voice is incredible.

“I am so excited for her; she is so talented. We are excited to be making more songs together and we are looking forward to releasing our first song Someone Instead on June 10."

Ben will be performing at the Fountain End Summer Party Event in Braintree on August 20 where he will be joined by Honey to perform the song live.
