POLICE were called after a car careered off the road and into a signpost.
Officers responded to reports of the crash in Halstead High Street.
The car, a blue Honda, went across a pavement, through floral planters and into a signpost.
Essex Police said no one was seriously injured in the crash.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called to the High street, Halstead, on Wednesday morning to help at a road traffic collision where one vehicle left the road.
“Luckily no one was seriously hurt.
“If you drive a car, please pay attention as just a smallest distraction can result in someone being hurt.”
