CHANGES to some of the bus timetables in the area are coming into effect next week.

Hedingham and Chambers has announced changes to bus timetables that are coming from next Monday, February 28.

The timetable changes come as a result of local authority tender results.

In the Braintree and Halstead area, changes are as follows.

ROUTE 352

The Route 352, operated by First Essex, will be renumbered the 42B, with the last journey from Chelmsford Bus Station being retimed to depart at 10.53pm.

ROUTE 88

The Route 88, on Mondays to Fridays, the 10.08am journeys from Halstead Conies Road will now continue beyond Halstead High Street to Colchester.

The 11.04am journey from Colchester High Street to Halstead Conies Road will be reinstated.

On Saturdays, the current temporary timetable will remain unchanged.

ROUTE 89

On Mondays to Fridays, the 6.48am journey from Great Yeldham to Braintree will run five minutes earlier than now,

The 0742 journey from Braintree Rail Station will be revised to start from Braintree Interchange at 7.33am, stopping at the Rail Station at 7.36am.

This journey will then run from Bocking, 12 minutes earlier than present.

The existing 5.37pm journey from Braintree rail station will leave Braintree Interchange at 5.47pm, stopping at the Rail Station at 5.50pm.

This journey will then run from Bocking six minutes later than present.

On Saturdays some morning journeys have been reinstated and buses will run once again run hourly until early afternoon.
