A new opticians will open its doors in Kidlington this month.

Specsavers will open a branch in unit 2b in The Hampden Building on High Street, on Monday, March 14.

Boasting three dedicated testing rooms and the very latest optical equipment, the shop will have an optical coherence tomography machine which is usually found in hospital eye departments, and produces a structural scan of the eye to help detect a range of eye conditions up to four years earlier than traditional methods.

A sound-proofed audiology room will also be available for hearing appointments.

Satnam Johal, Sarah Marshall, Mahin Ali and Suresh Mahandru will be heading-up the 10-strong team and are also store directors at Specsavers in Bicester.

Between them they have more than 60 years’ optical and retail experience and are passionate about not only looking after local people’s eyes and ears, but supporting the community too.

Audiology director, Harvey Marshall will head up the hearing service which will be available three days a week.

Suresh said: "This is a really exciting new venture for us. Customer service will be paramount and we know that everyone will work hard to make sure that we go the extra mile for everyone who comes to see us.

"We can’t wait to start welcoming people into the store."

Specsavers will be open seven days a week; 8:30am-6pm Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm Saturday and 9:00am-4pm Sunday.
