A PREP school is celebrating after received a glowing report from school watchdogs following an inspection.

The St Margaret's Prep School in Gosfield has received an 'excellent' inspection result after their school as inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

A report found the quality of pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent and the quality of their personal development is also excellent.

Inspectors found the pupils from nursery to Year 6 were worthy of an 'excellent' rating and were making good progress with a great attitude.

The independent school inspectors found the St. Margaret’s pupils, from Nursery to Year 6, to be highly engaged, enthusiastic and committed learners who make excellent progress across the curriculum, noting their exemplary attitude to learning and above national average results.

They also recognised the pastoral care provided by staff, focusing on the well-being of each individual pupil.

Mrs Carolyn Moss, St. Margaret’s Headteacher said: "We are all over the moon with the outcome of the inspection and I could not be prouder of the St. Margaret’s family. "The staff work tirelessly to ensure that the children receive the very best, well-rounded education and I am delighted that their hard work and commitment has been rewarded.

"I am also particularly pleased that the inspectors recognised how kind and caring our children are towards one another, they truly are a pleasure to teach.

"I would also like to offer thanks to our parents for their on-going support of the school and partnership with us in order to provide the very best for their children.

"It was our 75th anniversary this year and while COVID has restricted our celebrations, it is the perfect way to end this special year on a high.”

The report continues to elaborate on the fact that the pupils enjoy learning and have an excellent rapport with their teachers.
