Police are appealing for witnesses after serious injuries were sustained by a motorcyclist on the A12.

A 27-year-old man from the Clacton area was involved in a collision with a Hyundai Kona on Saturday evening at 6.20pm near Marks Tey.

The man, who was riding a Kawasaki motorbike, was taken to hospital with a broken arm and fractured eye socket.

Police have urged anybody who say the incident to contact Stanway roads policing unit, quoting incident 1039 on November 27.
