A WOMAN had to be freed from a vehicle after it crashed into an electrical pole, flipping it on to its roof.
Emergency Services were called to Colneford, White Colne yesterday (Wednesday, November 17) after reports of a serious car crash.
Firefighter units from Colchester and Halstead were called to the scene at around 2.26pm along with two Urban Search and Rescue teams.
Upon arrival, it was reported a woman was trapped in her car, which had been flipped on to its roof.
It is understood a vehicle had collided with an electrical pole on the road.
Teams had to free a woman from the wreckage following the collison and she was left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, firefighters reported that a woman was trapped in a car which was on its roof, following a collision with an electrical pole.
Crews worked to make the area safe, and used specialist equipment to release the casualty. She was left in the care of the Ambulance Service by 2:55pm."
