AN amazingly bizarre heavy metal band consisting of human-sized rocking dogs are set to perform a gig in aid of a boy with debilitating disorders.

Slay Duggee will take to the stage at Colchester Arts Centre later this month as part of a righteous show designed to raise money for Angus Grocott.

The Little Bentley boy, aged four, has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which means his body’s co-ordination is hindered and he struggles to sit up by himself, eat, or speak.

Halstead Gazette:

Entitled My First Metal Gig, the performance will raise money for Angus’ ongoing physiotherapy sessions and is specifically tailored for children.

Giving them the chance to experience their very first concert, Slay Duggee will blast through metal versions of the likes of Baby Shark and I Am A Shape.

As well as the live show itself, which will see the band return to the venue following their sold-out gig in 2019, there will be a metal disco and face painting.

Artwork from local children's illustrator Tom Knight will also be displayed and guests will be able to grab a selfie with the band after the show.

Families looking to attend the inclusive show are encouraged take along ear defenders or use the band’s limited pairs, which are given out first come first served.

Tickets for My First Metal Gig, taking place on November 21 from 1.30pm, cost £8 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com.
