A NEW nursery has opened at a village primary school focusing on the great outdoors.

The Little Woodland Tribe nursery opened at Ridgewell Primary School, for children aged two to five.

Little ones attending the nursery will spend their days exploring the natural environment around them, whatever the weather.

Ridgewell Primary already provides a comprehensive Forest School curriculum. Classes are taken on weekly outdoor trips to explore the natural beauty around the village.

Headteacher Kirsty Stuart said: “We’re all very excited to welcome the Little Woodland Tribe nursery to Ridgewell.

“Their ethos fits in so well with our school.”
Little Woodland Tribe founder Steph Hanratty said: “The Little Woodland Tribe is thrilled to be joining Ridgewell Primary School.

“Little Woodland Tribe’s vision is to provide all children with endless adventures, freedom, challenges and opportunities to develop holistically in all that they do.

“We want to be a place where children can reconnect with their natural environment – a place where they can be whoever we want to be.”

Ridgewell Primary is holding school tours on Tuesday, November 9. Call the office on 01440 785364 or email admin.ridgewell@dcvst.org to book a place.
