A VILLAGE recreation club is set to host a family fun day which celebrates the emergency services.
Earls Colne Recreation Club is holding a ‘blue light services’ appreciation fun day tomorrow.
The event is designed to say thank you Essex Police, Essex Fire and Rescue and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance for their hard work over the last year.
Admission to the event is free and it will run from 10am to 5pm.
Visitors will be able to come and meet the teams, including the fire service’s rescue dogs.
There will also be five-a-side football matches between each service and a children’s penalty shoot-out.
Inflatables will also be there on the day for children to enjoy and food and refreshments will be available.
The club is also holding a free open day on its sports courts, with coaches on hand to give tips.
