The Covid infection rate has fallen across the Braintree district, according to the latest figures.
Figures from Public Health England show that the infection rate stands at 505.9.
The latest figures are for the week leading up to January 20.
They also show that 772 new cases were recorded.
The drop in cases comes as the first mass vaccination centre opened in East Anglia today (January 26).
The centre, at Gainsborough Sport Centre in Ipswich, is one of 30 new centres opening across the UK this week.
It is the first mass vaccination centre in the east of England and can vaccinate thousands of people each week.
The worst affected area in the district is currently Central Braintree with an infection rate of 760.5 and 72 new cases.
Bocking is the least affected area with 21 new cases and an infection rate of 288.1.
