Armed police stormed a Thamesmead address following a dramatic stand-off, arresting a man charged with possession of a sawn-off shotgun and class A drugs.
Officers visited the flat on Malthus Path last Sunday, November 22, arresting a 24-year-old for a range of offences.
Jack Purfield, 24, was charged on Monday with possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life, as well as possession of a shortened shotgun.
He was further charged with possession or crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.
Purfield appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court, where he was bailed to attend Inner London Crown Court on Friday, December 18.
Two other males were also charged in relation to the investigation on November 20:
Kane Lamar, 24, of Salter Road, Southwark, and Enriquo Withers, 19, Queenstown Road, Wandsworth, were charged with the same offences.
Both males appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, November 21, where they were remanded also to appear at Inner London Crown Court on Friday, 18 December.
